Red Red Rose
Five years ago, red red rose emerged on Toronto’s theatre scene with a riotous production of Oscar Wilde’s Salomé at Toronto Summerworks Festival. The following year saw Heart of a Dog (Robert Astle’s adaptation of the Bulgakov novella of the same name) and in 2001 a new translation/adaptation of Jean Anouilh’s Antigone which was nominated for Best New Play at the Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
